In this video clip, Scott White, President of Mainstreet, a Senior Housing Forum partner, answers critics’ charges that the company is making other operators nervous with their transitional care model and destroying the traditional skilled nursing business.

He notes, “Nervous is the sign of transforming an industry,” and says the movie industry did not go away. They transformed from VHS to online and streaming.

Transitional care, he stated,  . . . “is not going to destroy skilled nursing. It’s going to pivot, to transform. It’s going to create a separation between long-term care and short-stay.”

White also gives a brief peek into Mainstreet’s work with Dr. Bill Thomas, whose Age of Disruption tour is barnstorming the country offering “a new and highly disruptive understanding of aging.”
