I attend 25 or so conferences or conventions every year.

It’s my job, and I love it . . .

It provides me a good chunk of the inspiration for my writing.

It allows me to have conversations with hundreds of leaders and other interesting people.

Here are my stats so far for 2016:

  • Conferences – 11

  • Conversations – 707  I keep track of the number of different people I have conversations with at each conference. Because that count starts at zero for each conference, it certainly represents less than 707 unique people. The unique count is likely a bit over 500.

The most eclectic of all of the conferences I attend each year has to be Mary Furlong’s Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit. Mary gathers together an amazing group of angel investors, venture capital investors, inventors and entrepreneurs.

The main event happens Wednesday June 22, 2016, but it is really a 3-day fest of learning and networking with a broad based group of folks who are intensely interested in making the lives of boomers and seniors better.

Here is a taste of what is in store:

  • Andrew Gordon from Pixar on creativity

  • Market reports from AARP

  • The biggest opportunities in the longevity marketplace are hiding in plain sight

  • Ken Dychtwald of Age Wave – How people will use their newfound longevity

  • Caregiving technology – What it is and what it could be

I will also be moderating an early morning panel titled Senior Living – The Evolving Market of Smart Services and hosting a lunch table.

If you can make it, I know you will enjoy it and I would love to see you there. Mary has provided me a code that will get you a 25% discount when you sign-up:
