Mary Ann Donaghy

Mary Ann Donaghy serves as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and a member of the Executive team at the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC). She is responsible for continuing to build the NIC brand as a non-profit, mission-based organization and deliver the organization’s revenue goals. Her role includes leading all marketing efforts to drive awareness and growth of NIC’s industry-leading conferences and NIC MAP® Data Service as well as promoting the extensive research, analytics, and outreach NIC contributes to the sector.

Mary Ann has a passion for understanding and meeting consumer needs through research-informed insights and innovation. She brings more than 25 years of integrated consumer and business-to-business marketing leadership and expertise to NIC. Prior to joining NIC, Mary Ann led a 60-person team as vice president of marketing at University of Maryland University College (UMUC), one of the nation’s largest public universities. In her two-and-a-half decades as a marketing leader, Donaghy also held the position of Vice President, Corporate Marketing at The Bozzuto Group, a Greenbelt, MD-based real estate development, management, and construction company. Prior to that, she held senior positions in marketing strategy and new product development at AOL and had P&L responsibility leading the Star-Kist Tuna (H.J. Heinz) international business. She has also held consulting positions with a range of organizations including AARP, various early-stage companies, and George Mason University. Her expertise in strategic planning, brand development, market research, digital marketing, communications, marketing technology, and P&L management has driven growth at each organization.
